(*) This trekking is recommended for acclimatization before starting another trek at high altitude or climbing mountains.

Day 01 LIMA - HUARAZ
Transfer to station to take the bus to Huaraz. Reception and transfer to selected hotel.

Day 02 HUARAZ
Acclimatization tour. After breakfast, visit to the Archaeological Museum of Ancash, the overlook of Rataquenua, Quenash (vision of the ancient Huaraz). Lunch at 'Recreo Los Jardines'. Continue to Willkawain e Ichikwillcawayín. These remains belong to the pre-inca culture of Wari, the Andean landscape and its traditional population. Our trip brings us to Uquia, Cachipampa, Marián and finally back to Huaraz. (This trip includes short walks / 5 - 6 hours.)

Day 03 HUARAZ - HONQOPAMPA
We leave Huaraz at 7.30 a.m. and proceed to Shimpi, where we will take an Andean breakfast and prepare the llamas for the hike, passing Antapluy. We continue hiking to the view point Bandera Huayó, which is offering us a spectacular panorama. We arrive in Huantsapampa, where textile craftsmen are located. The trail continues to Atoqpampa and Honqopampa, our first campsite (3400 m). After a break, we visit the Yuraq Yaku waterfalls and the Archaeological Centre of Honqopampa, built by the Wari culture in 600 to 900 B.C. There you can participate in an ancient ritual. We end the day with an Andean dinner with show. (3 - 4 hours walking/ distance 6 ½ km)

Day 04 HONQOPAMPA - HUARAZ
After breakfast, return to Taricá by bus, passing Pampamaca (textile and wood craftsmen) and Pariahuanca. From Taricá we drive to the north of the Callejón de Huaylas, passing Yungay and Campo Santo and arriving the Quebrada Llanganuco, between the massifs of Huascarán and Huandoy, with the lakes Chinanqocha and Orqoaocha in the Huascaran National Park. The trip goes on to Caraz and back to Huaraz, where we will enjoy a typical dinner.

Day 05 HUARAZ - LIMA
Transfer to station to take the bus to Lima or continue with the trekking program of your choice.
