This exciting whitewater rafting expedition is rated among the best. We start our trip from Cusco at 3,300 meters, driving for 4 hours across the Andes down to the Apurimac River, in the native Quechua language meaning "Speaker of The Gods ".

Day 01 CUSCO -APURIMAC
We meet at 8:30 am in Cusco. Drive 4 hours through the Andes to the put-in point at Huallpachaca bridge (2,000 m. altitude) It will take us about two hours to prepare all the equipment, self-bailing rafts, oars, paddles, coolers, helmets, lifejackets, wet suits etc. After lunch you will be given a safety briefing, explaining different rafting techniques and safety procedures. We will put emphasis on training all the participants, especially on paddling techniques, how to get back into the raft, responses to a raft flip, how to safely swim a rapid. We will raft for 2 or 3 hours, including Class II and III rapids. Then camp in a narrow gorge with impressive rock walls. Here the guides will prepare dinner as you relax around the campfire.

Day 02 APURIMAC
After breakfast we start rafting around 10:00 a.m. Today we will be in the water for about 6 to 7 hours, covering mostly class III and IV, IV+ rapids, stopping for lunch and arriving to camp around 4:00 p.m. Guides will organize some entertaining activities, cook dinner and then you will sleep on a sandy beach under the night sky of the Southern Hemisphere.

Day 03  APURIMAC
After a good breakfast we are going to be rafting through a couple of class IV rapids with names such us " El Trinche" , " Bati Cueva" and others after 3 or 4 hours of rafting you will arrive to camp at another nice sandy beach at river night, lunch and happy hour before dinner are included.

Day 04 APURIMAC - CUSCO
After breakfast we are going to be rafting through a couple of class V rapids with names such as "tooth ache", "you first", "last laugh". After 4 to 5 hours of rafting, we will arrive to the take-out point where we pack all the equipment and drive back to Cusco, arriving at approximately at 6:00 p.m., ending at hotel. You may continue on the extension of your choice.
